International historic and thematic exhibitions

The Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie, in consultation with its local delegations, proposes "ready-to-use" travelling exhibitions on chosen themes. They introduce the general public to the heritage of Fine Watchmaking, its contemporary expression and its métiers d’art:

• "Watches & Wonders", Beijing, Forbidden City, developed for the Richemont Group, September 2004
• "Alta Orologeria a Roma", Rome, Palazzo Incontro, October 2007

With a historic presentation of some one hundred timepieces loaned by watch museums, the public discovers the history and contemporary collections of each of the Foundation’s partner-brands.

The Foundation also contributes to existing events and fairs:

• "Belles Montres", Paris, Carrousel du Louvre, December 2007. Presentation of "The Chronograph, an expression of the modern era"

These exhibitions are also an opportunity to propose guided tours and cultural evenings.

Events in Germany, Italy, Singapore, New York, Zurich and Bahrain are awaiting final confirmation.
