"Masters of Fine Watchmaking" is a collection of documentary films in DVD format devoted to the people and techniques involved in Fine Watchmaking.
In the Métiers d’art series, the viewer discovers both centuries-old and cutting-edge expertise through eleven portraits of specialists and artisans, including the designer, watchmaker, stone-setter, movement designer and enameller.
In the Complications series, expert watchmakers present eleven complications and emphasise the skills required to make each one, including the minute repeater, perpetual calendar, equation of time, tourbillon and grande sonnerie.
Each episode tells of the passion these men and women nurture for their profession, illustrated by interviews and examples of their work.
These films are especially intended to spark young people’s interest in the different aspects of watchmaking.
They have been shown on various television channels, including TSR, TV5 Monde, National Geographic, TheTimeTV and on several partner websites.
