Autoquartz

A movement that functions like a quartz movement yet is wound like a mechanical movement.
An auto-recharge mechanism (oscillating weight) tightens the mainspring which, as it unwinds, triggers a micro-generator which converts mechanical energy into electrical energy. This energy is stored in an accumulator.
The system then functions like a traditional quartz watch, with the integrated circuit regulating the supply of energy and providing impulses to the gear train.
