Invented the first pendant crown winder (without a key), Rewarded by a Gold medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris, in 1844, patented in 1845.

1845
With Antoine de Norbert Patek and Vincent Gostowski, founded Patek & Co, future Patek Philippe.

1863
Invented the sliding brace (end of the free mainspring).
