Watchmaking Space
Watchmaking Space
Current production of the watchmaking companies in the Vallée de Joux. The watchmaking history of the Vallée de Joux. A collection of old clocks dating from the 16th to 19th centuries. In the temporary exhibitions you will marvel at the dexterity of the watchmakers. The “Praz-Rodet” mammoth.
Temporary closure for renovation and modernisation, beginning in October 2011. Reopening is scheduled for May 2012.
More than a museum, Espace Horloger 2012 will continue to talk about the art of watchmaking in La Vallée de Joux. It will also become a platform for the skill and expertise of watchmaking and its many professions. As the only museum of its kind in the canton of Vaud that is open to the public, it guards the heritage of an entire region.
