Logistics Manager
Independent and organised, the logistics manager has a degree in business or engineering. Like a conductor of an orchestra, he/she coordinates the supply of components according to suppliers and his/her inventory. His/her goal is to maintain maximum flow in order to guarantee production. The logistics manager also pays attention to staff and ensures that the labour force is sufficiently large. He/she finds ways to enhance the company's efficiency and anticipates any possible malfunctions. Negotiation skills and perseverance are assets for his/her interaction with suppliers. The ability to manage a team is also very important, particularly with regard to attaining specific objectives.
Engineering degree (see “engineer”), or bachelor’s or master’s degree in management – see universities: business programmes or management schools – a minimum of 5 years’ experience at in a similar position.
