Purchasing Manager
The purchasing manager oversees a company’s supplies. Constantly informed of the company’s needs thanks to efficient internal communications, he/she maintains contact with suppliers so that orders are delivered on time. His/her business sense drives him/her to negotiate the most competitive prices, and product quality is an essential criterion of his/her selection. A forward-thinker, he/she anticipates upcoming changes and develops strategies that guarantee stock and meet the needs of the after-sales services team. While a business-orientated education opens the doors to this position, two to five years of experience in the watchmaking industry is equally necessary in order to do the job efficiently. The purchasing manager speaks several languages and written and spoken English are essential.

Business employee CFC (Swiss Federal Certificate of Capacity), 3-year in-house apprenticeship with lessons taken in parallel, fluent written and spoken English, 3 to 5 years of experience in the watchmaking industry.
Specialist training in purchasing and supply, 17 days of on-the-job training, fluent written and spoken English, 3 to 5 years of experience in the watchmaking industry.
