Designer (Stylist, Artist)
In collaboration with the promotions and marketing staff, the designer creates new product lines in keeping with the brand’s overall strategy, while respecting its image and aesthetic codes. He/she participates in the creation of models, validates prototypes and analyses competition and market trends. The designer has several qualifications. With a degree in applied arts, he/she has knowledge in gemmology, masters two and three dimensional design software and is familiar with the watchmaking industry.
- Bachelor of arts degree from HES-SO (University of Applied Sciences, Western Switzerland) in industrial and product design, 3 years – see design schools. Possibility of specialisation with a master’s degree.
- Bachelor of science degree from HES-SO (University of Applied Sciences, Western Switzerland) in design and engineering, 3 years. Possibility of specialisation with a master’s degree – see Haute Ecole ARC Ingénierie (a Swiss engineering school) in engineering schools.
- Training as a timepiece designer, 2 years – see ESNE in design schools.
- Product Design / Luxury Design - see ECAL / University of Art and Design Lausanne in design schools.
