Enameller
A mix of metallic powders and glass, enamel is the watchmaker’s paint. Few of today’s craftsmen master this ancestral technique, which requires patience, attention to detail and a palpable artistic flair. The enameller faithfully reproduces images, patterns or miniatures on the dial by alternating between the following technical phases: depositing the enamel and fixing it through successive firings in the kiln. The technique can only be learned today by shadowing a professional enameller as he/she works.
