Engraver
The engraver’s task consists of decorating several components of a movement or case by cutting into them with delicacy and finesse. In this way, he/she transforms the practically crude components into miniature sculptures that are placed at the heart of a watch. In watchmaking, the engraver works almost exclusively by hand and this profession requires a certain dexterity as well as good visual acuity. Jewellery schools usually teach this trade that dates back to Antiquity.
