Quality Assurance Technician

The quality assurance technician inspects components and finished products. He/she checks that they comply with current regulations and monitors, in some cases, the certification process for new products. His/her role as an expert often means that he/she meets with suppliers directly in order to develop quality assessment protocols for example. The quality assurance technician supervises the production status and suggests new ways of reducing the number of non-compliant parts. A qualification as a mechanic or equivalent and knowledge of the watchmaking industry are necessary for this profession, which requires a keen sense of rigour and precision.
