Emblematic models

1. RM 008-1 The first newly developed chronograph design of the 21st watchmaking century, this split tourbillon seconds chronograph stands at the top of the collection and symbolizes all of the technical mastery the brand has to offer. This timepiece specifically addresses the accurate measurement of small time intervals and the high demands on design, materials and tolerances this creates, such as the high acceleration and deceleration of many small moving parts inside the movement itself.

2. RM 003-V2 A mainstay of the collection, closely follows the spirit of Richard Mille’s first creation. It utilizes a carbon nanofiber baseplate, a material that has proven its toughness and stability on the conditions of the racetrack and in aerospace applications for many years. It provides the highest levels of stability imaginable and is thus an ideal foundation for movements. The subtle yet remarkable second time zone indicator using sapphire glass forms a unique, yet useful addition to the tourbillon movement.

3. RM 009 Felipe Massa (sold out limited edition) Weighing in at just under 30 grams, this remarkable achievement is the lightest mechanical tourbillon that exists. It opened the way for a whole new definition of ‘the lightness of luxury’ with the utilization of high-tech materials more costly than platinum in production and manufacture. It represents the first time ALUSIC has been used for a watchcase and is the first application of Aluminum-Lithium for a movement. It is a representative of Richard Mille’s desire to bring watchmaking into the 21st century.

4. RM 010-1 A skeletonized wristwatch with variable inertia rotor that allows the user to adapt the winding rotor with its variable geometry, 18-carat white gold ‘wings’ to their lifestyle. It represents a new innovation that addresses proper winding conditions that are essential for excellent chronometric results.

5. RM 014 Perini Navi Cup Celebrates Richard Mille’s participation as the official Perini Navi Cup timekeeper 2006. The watch movement is filled with marine details taken from the exceptional Perini Navi creations such as the recently completed Maltese Falcon that had its maiden voyage in 2006.

6. RM 012 (sold out limited edition) Continuing in the spirit of horological daredevilry, this architecturally inspired design is the first watch of its kind that has united the functions of the baseplate and bridges into a coherently engineered whole. A unique tubular construction and framework of steel and titanium allows the going train and tourbillon to float as if suspended, without resorting to the use of a classical baseplate.
