TRAINING FOR FINE WATCH PROFESSIONALS
The Foundation takes great pleasure in proposing its programme of training for fine watch professionals. All three modules in the programme are tailored to the specific needs of fine watch sales staff.
Watchmaking is a highly skilled profession that calls on some forty different forms of expertise. Until recently, watchmaking was something of an enigma; now customers are increasingly familiar with the mysteries and secrets of a fine watch. This new environment is also one of heightened competition, where sales staff who are the link between brands and their customers are of vital importance.
The human skills, knowledge and competencies of staff who deal directly with these well-informed watch buyers are instrumental in ensuring the success of their point of sale. For this reason, staff must continue to develop their skills, not only so they can answer customers' increasingly knowledgeable requests, but also to motivate sales teams, and develop their sense of responsibility and loyalty towards the point of sale.
A first session corresponding to level 1 of module 1 is being held in Geneva, over two days in November. Its theme is:
The Fundamentals of Fine Watch Sales
Participants will acquire structured sales techniques with which they can develop their theoretical skills and improve their sales performance. And there is more… they will also discover for themselves the intricacies of a watch movement in a half-day workshop, during which they will try their hand at taking apart then assembling a hand-wound movement.
At the end of this module, participants will:
- Know the main stages and structure of a sale
- Better understand the customer, their expectations and motivations
- Know how to conduct and close a sale
- Be able to explain how a mechanical watch works
- Understand what gives a Fine Watch its value
The cost of this two-day session is CHF 600 per person, under the proviso that 10 people are enrolled
