Delegation & Ambassadors
Local delegations
To ensure the international scope of its activities, the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie has set up some fifteen local delegations in the markets. They are headed by mission delegates, all representative names and acknowledged for their expertise, professionalism and personal commitment to the promotion of Fine Watches.
Their role is to:
- Relay the Foundation’s activities and initiatives to promote Fine Watchmaking in their market
- Initiate projects that are tailored to their geographic area to spread the culture and values of Fine Watchmaking
- Organise training and information for the public
- Train retailers
- Coordinate the Fine Watchmaking Ambassadors Circle
- Relay information which the Foundation can use to enhance its own information resources, from its website and HH Magazine to economic, technical and commercial analyses.
The "Fine Watchmaking Ambassadors" circle
The Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie, through the Steering Committee, has founded the first international circle of Fine Watch initiates. Its members are personalities, appointed ad personam and recognised for their respectability, contribution and personal commitment to promoting the values and ethics of Fine Watches.The Foundation currently has around one hundred Fine Watchmaking Ambassadors worldwide, from retailers and collectors to experts in the watch industry
Their role is to:
- Represent and promote the Foundation’s activities among the public, media, retailers and brands
- Contribute to the fight against counterfeits and servile copies
- With the local delegation, support and take part in events and activities in the markets to inform the public and better train sales staff
- Locally implement the Foundation’s commitment to cultural development
- Individually or collectively keep the Foundation informed and updated
