Clockarium, the ceramic clock Museum

Clockarium, the ceramic clock Museum

A delightful Art Deco building is home to the Clockarium ceramic clock museum in Brussels. The only museum of its kind in the world, it specialises in the ceramic mantle clocks which, between the two world wars, sat proudly above fireplaces in the homes of Belgium and Northern France. Over a thousand ceramic clocks, illustrating the decorative arts, the history of clockmaking and a bygone fashion, are waiting to be discovered.
