Master in luxury management

New Master’s in Luxury Management: the FHH is partner to HEG Geneva

The FHH has joined the Haute École de Gestion (HEG) in Geneva to propose a unique advanced studies course, beginning October 2009.

The HEG has chosen highly-regarded partners, including the FHH, to launch a Master’s in Luxury Management. This innovative diploma responds to the needs expressed by companies in the luxury arena by training high-level executives to take on the specific challenges of this sector.

This Master’s in Luxury Management, which targets managers with 3 to 4 years’ experience, will give new impetus to a career or facilitate a move into the luxury sector. The curriculum is devised so that students can follow courses while in employment. Scheduled over four semesters, it comprises two Diplomas of Advanced Studies (DAS). The curriculum is based on:

  • practice
  • exchange with players in the luxury market
  • the managerial skills required for this sector

Students will learn to analyse the specificities and complexity of luxury markets, to define a corporate strategy and anticipate change.

As a partner to the HEG, the FHH is proud to lend its expertise in Fine Watchmaking to this enterprising initiative. The FHH will lead lessons in luxury marketing, open the doors to Fine Watch manufactures, and organise lectures by esteemed professionals. Other valued partners will contribute their highly relevant expertise to the curriculum: the École Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) will familiarise students with the specificities of luxury hotel management while the Haute École d’Art et de Design (HEAD) will focus on the relationship between luxury and creativity.
