Portrait

Heralded at their initial release in 2001 as a break from the past and a new direction of horology, the wristwatches of Richard Mille were from their very inception, extraordinary and uncompromising.

History

After managing the watch division at Matra, which was sold to Seiko, and spearheading Mauboussin's first watch campaigns, Richard Mille set up his company in 2001. From the outset, the brand applied a threefold philosophy: the sharpest cutting-edge technology, three-dimensional constructions shot through with pure mechanics, and hand-finishing. This strategy has never wavered, and the Richard Mille name has imposed itself with instantly recognisable timepieces at the forefront of innovation and openly inspired by racing cars and aeronautics.
