Piezoelectric

Piézo-électrique | ピエゾ効果/ピエゾコウカ | 压电性

The ability of certain crystals to generate a voltage in response to applied mechanical stress (pressure, twisting, traction, etc.). Discovered by brothers Pierre and Jacques Curie in 1880.
