Hermès: Arceau Pocket moon phases retrograde date/2009

The Arceau Pocket heralds a new way of reading and experiencing time.

Its Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier movement is equipped with a moon-phase complication requiring no correction for 122 years and 46 days. The date is displayed by a retrograde hand moving across a 225° arc of a circle graduated from 1 to 31 days. Upon reaching the last day of the month, the hand returns to its starting point. The sapphire crystal case-back enables one to admire the precision and the perfect manual execution of the 306 parts of its calibre, featuring bridges and oscillating weight sprinkled with the brand’s signature "H". Secured by a generous Barenia calfskin strap, the Arceau Pocket moon phases retrograde date gives its wearer an exceptional feeling of literally holding time in the hollow of his hand. The Arceau Pocket watch is issued in two limited, numbered series of 24 in rose gold and 24 in white gold (a number evoking the legendary Hermès address on the Faubourg Saint-Honoré).
