Hermès: Dressage Watch Calibre H1837/2012
A contemporary, lightly curving profile. An eminently masculine appearance. An elegance spelt out by the faithful trotting of the open-worked dauphine hands. The new Dressage watch harnesses time with conviction.
Bridled by leather strap or metal bracelet, the case draws inspration from Hermès roots in the equestrian world. Its silhouette plays on the contrasts between a round case topped by polished bezel. The finish alternates between circular and vertical satin-brushed decoration, while a central guilloché motif reflects fine watchmaking traditions.
Depending on the version, a date window or small seconds display takes its place at 6 o'clock. The dial is graced by applied hour-makers and raised numerals appearing on an opaline silvered or galvanic black background. The sapphire crystal back of the steel or rose gold case reveals an oscillating weight adorned with a sprinkling of "H"s.
