Time is fluid. Time is precious. Time is also a series of fragments and fractions. With this as their starting-point, the horological engineers at HYT have imagined a timepiece whose generous case surrounds a dial comprising 63 mirrored facets in monocrystalline silicon, each slightly titled at an angle. Conceived as a three-dimensional Cubist painting, there are four openings. Two above the bellows, the beating heart for the red and transparent fluids that track time. Another for the advancement of the seconds and a fourth above the power-reserve indicator. So as to accentuate the multiple plays of light and transparency, the minute counter is cut from sapphire. A reminder that "Time is Precious" is engraved twice around the steel case: once conventionally and once in mirror writing.
