Toric Quantième Perpétuel Rétrograde Slate

Parmigiani Fleurier 2019

ref. PFH427-1600200-HA1241
Men's

The Perpetual Calendar complication has inspired many watchmakers this year. Parmigiani Fleurier presents its interpretation in the classic form of the Toric. This particular calendar is remarkable for the retrograde perpetual date and a precision moon phase. Because the mechanism for the lunar calendar is integrated into the same module as the date calendar, through a far more intricate gear system than a conventional moon phase would require, it requires a single adjustment in 122 years. A further distinction of this Toric is the guilloché dial, whose pattern replicates the concentric structure of pine cone scales – one of the many examples in nature of the golden ratio. The redesigned case has a more slender, elegant shape than before, with lugs that sit comfortably on the wrist.
