Watches & Wonders, setting the stage for Fine Watchmaking

Organised by the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH), Watches & Wonders in Hong Kong was quick to establish itself as one of the foremost events of recent years in Asia. This exclusive rendezvous with time fits perfectly with the Foundation's mission to promote Fine Watchmaking throughout the world.

The Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie has formed a specialist division to stage events intended to introduce professionals and public to the world of watches and the trends taking shape within it. They include Watches & Wonders. Seen as a pre-eminent platform for exchanges, culture and expertise, it opened in Hong Kong in 2013 at the request of the SIHH Exhibitor Committee. Its purpose is to go out and meet end customers and become the focus for Fine Watchmaking in the Asia-Pacific region. Throughout its three editions - 2013, 2014 and 2015 - Watches & Wonders has adapted to fit ever more closely with this new clientele and offer them a unique choice of exceptional timepieces.

This fabulous encounter with time gives the full measure of the expertise and talent at work inside watchmaking's prestigious Maisons, through guided tours, initiations to watchmaking, talks, exhibitions and the chance to discover unique pieces. Watches & Wonders is also a journey through history: that of a craft that originated in the Swiss mountains, where time appears to stand still and the most extraordinary creations come into being. Such unique events as Watches & Wonders are one of the ways the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie carries the legacy of its peers into the world, with the ambition to promote Fine Watchmaking internationally and remaining engraved on the memory of visitors and admirers of beautiful mechanical timepieces who discover the secrets, stories and passion that preside over the birth of the finest horological creations.
