A production watchmaker assembles electronic or mechanical watches, performs quality controls at various stages in production, and makes any necessary adjustments. He/she must be versatile and able to intervene at every stage in production (assembly, hands-fitting, dial-fitting, casing the movement, timing). On a production line, he/she supervises the watch fitters who carry out part of the assembly-work. At a point of sale, he/she carries out the most common servicing and repairs as part of after-sales service.
