Precious and authentic by nature, watch creations are designed to stand the test of time, to be passed on and to continue to inspire dreams from generation to generation. Because our mission is to promote creativity but also to ensure the sustainability and influence of Fine Watchmaking throughout the world, we promote a sustainable industry focused on responsible practices.
Watches and Culture has created the Meaningful Watch Movement, a programme designed to support watch brands as they transition to more sustainable and responsible practices. Among other things, the programme offers general and specialised training modules, awareness-raising seminars and personalised support.
The Foundation's cultural arm thus supports the Responsible Jewellery Council, an organisation that sets the standard with its codes of good practice governing the entire watchmaking value chain and its supply chain, from materials to distribution, and the Swiss Better Gold Association (SBGA), a non-profit organisation that is working to develop a gold supply chain that respects ethics and human dignity.
