Adopted son of Pierre Jaquet Droz.
Apprentice then associate and successor of his father.
Father of Georges Auguste Leschot.
Renowned for making watches with automatons and singing birds.

Construction, with Pierre and Henry Louis Jaquet Droz of several automatons including the "writer" (6,000 parts), the "lady musician" (2,500 parts) and the "draughtsman" (2,000 parts), now kept at the Museum of Art and History at Neuchâtel (Switzerland).
