Industrial Design Engineer © Fabien Nissels, Haute Ecole Arc Neuchâtel
An industrial design engineer puts the end-user at the centre of his/her work by
considering how to make a product comply with the user's lifestyle, environment and needs. He/she takes an engineer's approach in order to integrate technical functions into their design, but will also consider symbolic and emotional values, as well as ergonomy. He/she can be given responsibility for innovation and will use their competencies to propose innovative ideas to renew existing products or develop new products in line with users' expectations.
