1858 Split Second Chronograph Limited Edition 100
Montblanc 2020
This limited edition of 100 pieces in titanium returns to a 44mm diameter monopusher Chronograph, made by Minerva in the 1930s and distinguished by the originality of its dial. The centre displays a snail-shaped tachymeter scale (for measuring speed) while the inner flange carries a telemeter scale (for measuring distance). As a tribute to this historic watch, Montblanc has crafted a solid gold dial with a gradient of blues in Grand Feu enamel. Orange and white accents add to the vintage feel. This 1858 is fitted with an historically relevant MB M16.31 split-seconds monopusher chronograph movement for measuring intermediate times. A V-shaped bridge and a large balance wheel with 18 screws, beating at a traditional frequency of 2.5 Hz (18,000 vph) are a nod to the original calibre of the 1930s.
