1858 Split Second Chronograph Limited Edition 18

Montblanc 2021

ref. 128085
Men's

The inspiration for this split-seconds chronograph may be resolutely vintage — a 46mm military chrono produced by Minerva in the 1930s — Montblanc has added some seriously innovative features to this 18-piece limited edition. The 44mm case is made from Lime Gold, an exclusive 18k gold alloy whose deep golden colour, veering towards pale green, carries onto the gold-coloured sunburst dial, where a snail-shaped tachymeter scale in the centre joins a telemeter scale on the inner flange. Ensuring optimal legibility both day and night, the Arabic numerals are sculpted from green Super-LumiNova®. Movement-wise, this elegant chrono houses the manual-winding MB M16.31 calibre. Directly inspired by a Minerva movement from 1909, its traditional hand-finishing is revealed through the sapphire caseback.
