How does a watchmaker celebrate the 30th anniversary of his manufacture and the 10th anniversary of his brand? Christophe Claret's answer is short and sweet: Angelico, the name of the limited-edition piece that revisits a golden era of advances in chronometric precision with the first wristwatch to combine a tourbillon with a long detent escapement and a fusee transmission. This extremely complex mechanism is completed by an instant-jump dual-time display with day/night indication, and an indicator for the 72-hour power reserve. In an unconventional move, instead of a chain, the two mainspring barrels are connected to the fusee by an ultra-thin (0.18mm) Dyneema nanofibre cable. Energy loss is reduced, and the power reserve regulated and extended. Christophe Claret has packaged these exceptional mechanics in a large titanium case, topped with a domed crystal that allows a plunging view of the movement's architecture.
