Arceau Cheval Cosmique

Hermès 2020

Unisex

Henri d'Origny designed the Arceau watch in 1978. The Cheval Cosmique is the work of artist Gianpaolo Pagni, who imagined this composition of a horse silhouetted against undulating arcs. It takes the artisan almost an entire week to hand-engrave just one of these works in miniature on a gold plate that is less than half a centimetre thick. The Arceau Cheval Cosmique watch is presented as two limited editions of 24 pieces each, one with an aventurine dial and the second with a mother-of-pearl dial. Both display hours and minutes, and are brought to life by an automatic mechanical movement which, like the dial, case and strap, is developed inside the workshops at Hermès Horloger.
