Bold, innovative concepts are the bedrock of Greubel Forsey, established in 2004, and the Balancier S is further illustration of this thinking. This new watch’s sporty personality is evident in the avant-garde design of the titanium case, distinguished by its unusual arched shape and complemented by a wide, satin-finished bezel. Rubber inlays on the sides of the case echo the rubber strap. Turning to the movement, the regulating organ, which is inclined at 30 degrees, incorporates Greubel Forsey’s large (12.6mm diameter) balance wheel as a guarantee of stability and precision. Two series-mounted coaxial barrels provide 72 hours of power reserve. As well as displays of hours, minutes, small seconds and power reserve, the Balancier S is water-resistant to 100 metres. Finishing is consistent with Greubel Forsey’s exacting standards; virtually every surface has been frosted, chamfered, circular-grained or satin-brushed. Produced as a limited edition of 18.
