Tudor was one of the first brands to look to past models and, from there, introduce a vintage element to its current collections. This new Black Bay Chrono with date and small seconds is an excellent example. It channels the spirit of the very first chronographs Tudor made, which were linked to the world of motor sports, with its fixed bezel featuring a tachymeter scale insert in aluminium. The design of the pushers, the refined lines of the 41mm steel case and the 45-minute counter are all further allusions to the past. Yet another reference to Tudor’s legacy, the Snowflake hour hand is typical of the brand’s early dive watches. Equipped with an in-house automatic movement with COSC-certified chronometer precision, this model opts for a “panda” dial: so-called for the contrasting black subdials on the white opaline dial. Among the various strap options, fans of vintage will love this aged leather cuff.
