Carrera Heuer-02T
TAG Heuer 2016
In 2015, TAG Heuer gave a glimpse of a Chronograph tourbillon whose positioning was already sending shivers through watchmaking's old guard. The final product was the talk of Baselworld 2016 as the only COSC-certified self-winding chronograph tourbillon to be produced by the Swiss watch industry for under CHF 15,000. The starting-point for this trailblazing watch was the in-house CH-80 chronograph, now back in production. The Heuer-02T incorporates two of traditional watchmaking's best-known complications. An industrial framework was developed to optimise assembly. It houses a lightweight tourbillon with central sections in titanium and a carbon top section. The movement is housed in the latest generation TAG Heuer case. Made from grade 5 titanium, it uses a different form of construction with 12 modular components.
