The Academia Mathematical, in 18k pink gold, reveals an original technical innovation. The hands are replaced by individual jumping numerals that light up at the centre of the watch to show the passage of time. The patented automatic movement is assembled from 384 parts.
The Academia Mathematical watch faithfully conveys DeWitt's philosophy of a distinctive aesthetic together with complex mechanics. As well as being shortlisted for the 2015 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in the Mechanical Exception category, it won the Design category prize at the 2016 Watchfair Luxembourg.
