DB25 Starry Varius Chronomètre Tourbillon
De Bethune 2019
Nothing of the classic exterior hints at the chronometric fireworks taking place beneath the unmistakable De Bethune dial in blued titanium, with its scattering of white gold stars. The DB25 Starry Varius Chronomètre Tourbillon indeed contains a tourbillon in titanium and silicon together with a balance wheel oscillating at a frequency of 36,000 vibrations/hour. The entire assembly is housed inside an exceptionally lightweight carriage (0.18g) that is visible from the back of the case. Powered by a new, manually-wound in-house movement, this tourbillon joins a central seconds hand that jumps once every second for precise read-off of the time. Testimony to De Bethune's quest for precision, test reports for this watch indicate plus or minus zero seconds per day in all positions. This rare feat is materialised as a limited edition of ten pieces, in a 42mm titanium case.
