De Bethune: De Bethune Tourbillon Regulator
De Bethune has reinvented the tourbillon as a regulator for the wrist, marking a bold step forward in the evolution of mechanical watches.
Using new technologies, De Bethune has developed a tourbillon weighing just 0.18 grams, inside a silicon-titanium cage which rotates on its axis once every thirty seconds, having a frequency of 36,000 vibrations/hour.
The dial is studded with gold stars forming a night sky. In an allusion to the most celebrated eighteenth-century clocks, the hour and minute ring is in silver and will acquire a magnificent patina over time.
