- Métiers d'Art
How else to describe this Graff Floral watch than "poetry in motion". Its kinetic kaleidoscope assembles three métiers d'art: gem-setting, naturally for the British-South African jeweller, but also enamelling and miniature painting. The dial is a garden of flowers, of the kind found at the Graff family's Delaire Graff wine estate, an hour's drive from Cape Town, South Africa. Each individual petal is hand-crafted. The artisan begins by applying a layer of enamel to the white gold base. The fine details then come to life in glorious colour at the tip of the miniature painter's brush. And this isn't all. The flowers at 8 o'clock and 10 o'clock constantly rotate, as though dancing in the breeze. The Graff Floral is proposed in four colours: red, blue, white and violet.
