In 2017, Ulysse Nardin marked the tenth anniversary of its first concept watch with a follow-up, which it called InnoVision 2. It too was instilled with the brand's latest groundbreaking innovations. The FreakVision now brings those features to a production model. This is the first Freak – a collection set apart by the “flying carrousel-tourbillon” baguette movement that also gives the time – to have automatic winding courtesy of the Grinder winding system, which surpasses existing systems for efficiency by a factor of two. The balance, in silicon with solid nickel elements, is driven by the revolutionary Ulysse Anchor Escapement which oscillates thanks to two bi-stable blade springs. All these innovations come packaged in a redesigned case.
