This new iteration of the Galet Traveller depicts the globe at night, represented in three dimensions in gold and enamel. The centre of the dial is reserved for a slightly domed map of the five continents, surrounded by seas and oceans in champlevé enamel. Cities are represented by leaf-gilded dots, thus accentuating the three-dimensional effect. Determined to ensure the complete legibility of the dual-time function, Laurent Ferrier has chosen a traditional display for local time. Synchronised with the date, it can be adjusted forwards or backwards in one-hour increments thanks to the two oblong pushers on the left side of the case. Home time is shown in the aperture at 9 o'Clock on a twenty-four display that also distinguishes between day and night.
