For the many admirers of vintage-inspired styles, Carl F. Bucherer has given a modern twist to 1950s design cues with this new model. When adding to the Heritage collection that premiered in 2018, the brand took inspiration from a 1956 Chronograph whose slim, 34mm case encloses a dial surmounted by two symmetrically arranged counters. The watch's designers have kept the historic model's form but increased its dimensions, cloaked in steel and pink gold, to a 41mm diameter in line with contemporary tastes. Deliciously retro, the dial adopts a rose-and-champagne colour as a background for the bicompax chronograph display, an annual calendar with large date and a tachymeter scale. This mid-century elegance is teamed with the twenty-first-century technology of a mechanical automatic movement, which steals admiring glances through the sapphire caseback.
