Horological Machine n°1

Horological Machine n°1

In 2007 MB&F unveiled its first Horological Machine, HM1, a remarkable timepiece on many levels: visually, technically and emotionally.

Every piece by MB&F originates in Maximilian Büsser's childhood memories, from science fiction and cartoons to aquatic creatures, airplanes and supercars. MB&F transforms these memories into futuristic, unconventional timekeeping machines.

Horological Machine N°1 is equipped with the world’s first movement with four barrels connected in both parallel and series, and the first to transmit energy to the regulating system from two sources simultaneously. By designing and constructing its first three-dimensional machine, MB&F broke free of the constrains of traditional horology.
