Horological Machine n°6

Horological Machine N°6 Space Pirate, like all Horological Machines, originates in Maximilian Büsser’s childhood memories: in this instance a 1970s-80s Japanese anime, Captain Future. The captain's spaceship, the Comet, consisted of two spheres connected by a tube. Büsser came up with the idea of combining two such crafts and the seeds of the Space Pirate were planted. The curved lines of HM6 give it a softer, more organic shape than its predecessors, an inspiration taken from the biomorphism art movement that borrows from the shapes of living organisms. In 2015 Horological Machine N°6 received a Red Dot: Best of the Best award, the Red Dot Awards' top prize.
