As official sponsor of the Luna Rossa sailing team, a contender in the 36th America’s Cup, Panerai has created this Luminor GMT with the distinctive feature of a dial in Scafotech™. This innovative and sustainable composite is made out of repurposed carbon fibres from the hull and hydrofoils of the Italian challenger’s AC75 yacht, which are transformed into a high-tech polymer. The result is an irregular, marbled texture that gives each dial a unique appearance – a characteristic shared by Carbotech™, the lightweight and corrosion-resistant composite used for the bezel. As for the case, Panerai has opted for sandblasted titanium. Water-resistant to 100 metres, this Luminor Luna Rossa is powered by the P.9010/GMT movement that will run for three days thanks to power supplied by twin barrels. Precision timekeeping comes from the balance that is fixed by a bridge with twin supports.
