TAG Heuer: Mikrograph/1916

In 1916, TAG Heuer patented the Mikrograph, the world’s first mechanical stopwatch accurate to 1/100th of a second.

At the time, other timing instruments could only measure to the nearest fifth of a second. This new development revolutionized science, industry and watchmaking, and made TAG Heuer the natural choice as the official supplier of timing instruments for the 1920 Olympic Games.
