Montblanc 1858 Automatic Dual Time
Montblanc 2017
Montblanc 1858 Automatic Dual Time square
Montblanc journeys back in time to the 1930s with a
polished interpretation of the chronographs that were part of the Minerva
manufacture's renown . This is the first time Montblanc has worked with bronze
for one of its collections. Well-known for its solidity, this alloy is also
appreciated for the way it evolves to reflect a person's lifestyle, meaning
that after a few years of wear, this steel watch with bronze bezel and crown
will have developed its own, unique appearance, while still retaining the
hallmarks of 1930s Minerva watches: cathedral hands, luminescent Arabic
numerals, railroad minute track and the original Montblanc logo and font in the
centre. Unreservedly vintage on the one hand, this Automatic Dual Time
introduces the easy read-off and functionality a modern watch-wearer expects.
The home-time hand in the centre has a Super-Luminova® coating. A
subdial at 6 o'Clock indicates small seconds and date, which is linked to local
time. A discreet day/night indicator completes this line-up of useful
functions.
