1858 Monopusher Chronograph Origins Limited Edition 100

Montblanc 2021

ref. 128506
Men's

Paying tribute to Minerva and its creativity, Montblanc is reissuing a 1930s monopusher military Chronograph as a limited edition of 100 pieces. Housed in an impressive 46mm bronze case with an “officer” back, it captures the spirit of historic chronographs in vintage twists, in particular the bi-compax dial, with small seconds at 9 o’Clock, a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock and a tachymeter scale around the edge of the dial. Equally characteristic of the period are the cathedral hands and Arabic numerals. A luminescent coating guarantees optimal readability in darkness. The hinged back is decorated with an engraving of Minerva, the goddess of crafts. It opens to reveal, through a sapphire crystal, the intricacies of the manual-winding MB M16.29 movement, a faithful reproduction of a Minerva chronograph calibre from the 1920s.
