Neo Tourbillon With Three Bridges Skeleton
Girard-Perregaux 2018
In 2014, Girard-Perregaux presented an updated version of its famous Tourbillon With Three Bridges, aptly named the Neo Tourbillon With Three Bridges. This time it goes a step further and throws transparency into the mix. Mainplate and bridges have been pared down to the bare minimum to show off the architectural inspiration of the movement. The absence of a bezel combined with two glass-box crystals further accentuate the impression of weightlessness inside the 45mm titanium case. Again with transparency in mind, the micro-rotor has been placed concentrically with the barrel, so as to be invisible from the dial side. The 80 tourbillon components are cut from titanium and together weigh just 0.25 gram.
