Speake-Marin's Art Series collection, which debuted in 2006, trains the spotlight on the decorative arts or métiers d'art, such as enamelling, engraving or maki-e, a Japanese lacquer technique. This year, and for the first time, the brand is issuing a 20-piece limited edition as part of the collection, with an engraved dial and in-house movement. The dragon, a sacred creature in Chinese mythology, has long been part of Speake-Marin's bestiary. Here, it is engraved on the gold-coated dial.
