Première Squelette Camélia square
After Calibre 1, revealed inside the Monsieur watch in 2016, Chanel continues its advances into mechanical watchmaking with Calibre 2, its second in-house movement. Stylised and skeletonised in the form of a camellia blossom in three dimensions, this new signature calibre required the combined talents of watchmakers and jewellers, for the diamond setting. Only an icon could introduce this proprietary calibre, picked out in gold and precious gems. What else, then, but the Première, a watch directly inspired by the codes of Chanel, which celebrates 30 years of watchmaking in the light of the baguette diamonds that cloak this rendition of the Première Camélia Skeleton.
